Until We Meet Again
A Boxer’s Goodbye
"I lost a treasured friend today,
A Boxer who brightened every day.
With gentle head upon my knee,
They shared their silent thoughts with me.
No more will they answer my call,
Retrieve their toy, or leap in the hall.
A voice far kinder than my own
Has called them to His golden throne.
Though tears now blur the world I see,
I thank Him for the years with me—
For all the love, the loyalty,
The joy they brought my family.
When it’s my turn to leave this place,
And join them in His warm embrace,
I’ll walk with hope through the transient dark,
For they’ll greet me with a wag and bark."
